Meet ‘The Drew Point’, HNN’s new streaming show

A new streaming show on HNN, “The Drew Point” HNN meteorologist Drew Davis launches 'The Drew Point,' a live streaming show featuring in-depth weather forecasts every Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.

HONOLULU (HI Now) - Hawaii News Now meteorologist Drew Davis is taking weather forecasting to the next level with his brand new streaming show, “The Drew Point.” Airing live every Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. on the HNN streaming app — available on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, YouTube, and Facebook — the show goes beyond your typical TV forecast with in-depth, long-form weather discussions that can run up to 30 minutes.

Drew, who has dreamed of being a TV weatherman since fifth or sixth grade, uses the show to dive deep into weather patterns, explain meteorological terms, and answer viewer questions in real time. Topics will range from everyday neighborhood forecasts to complex subjects like hurricane season — covering storm size, movement, and ocean temperature impacts.

The show’s clever name is a play on the “dew point,” a measure of atmospheric moisture — a joke Drew had been making for years that finally became reality, thanks to HNN’s Streaming Executive Producer Alayna. Looking ahead, Drew plans to bring on guest meteorologists and UH Mānoa professors to further enrich the conversation. Catch “The Drew Point” live every Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. on the HNN streaming app.
