HONOLULU (HI Now) - Hawaii Opera Theatre presents an out-of-this-world adaptation of Rossini’s comic masterpiece The Italian Girl in Algiers titled THE RIOT GRRRL ON MARS, opening this February at Honolulu’s Neal Blaisdell Concert Hall. This inventive production—performed in English with supertitles—transports audiences to Mars in a spirited tale where a rebellious heroine crash-lands while trying to rescue her beloved, sparking chaos in the Martian court. Directed by HOT’s General Director & CEO Andrew Morgan in his company debut and conducted by Mark Morash, the show promises a blend of humor, heart, and stellar music. Performances are scheduled for Friday, February 13 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, February 15 at 4:00 PM.
