HONOLULU (HI Now) - In Hawai‘i, homes renting for $150 to $700 per month are nearly impossible to find, even though roughly 40,000 people earn less than $30,000 a year and can afford little more. This lack of deeply affordable housing is Hawai‘i’s largest housing gap, and it is what HomeAid Hawai‘i is dedicated to solving. Through a nonprofit development model that reduces construction costs using partnerships, philanthropy, builder discounts, donated labor and materials, grants, land donations, value engineering, volunteer support, and savings made possible through emergency proclamations, HomeAid Hawai‘i is able to build housing for people earning the least.
Help prevent homelessness in Hawai‘i by closing the deeply affordable housing gap. Learn more at homeaidhawaii.org/gap
