The Polynesian Bowl is an annual high school football all-star game that showcases many of the nation’s top senior football players while celebrating Polynesian culture and heritage. Taking place during Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week, the event includes practices, cultural experiences, community service, and a nationally televised game, while also supporting Shriners Children’s.

8th Annual TransPacific Volleyball Championships

Friday, January 16 - Monday, January 19, 2026 | $25-$75

The TransPacific Volleyball Championships is Hawai‘i’s largest indoor sporting event, drawing more than 360 youth volleyball teams from across the islands, the continental U.S., Canada, and the Pacific region. Held over three days at the Hawai‘i Convention Center and venues around O‘ahu, the tournament blends high-level competition with cultural experiences such as the Ho‘omākaukau Opening Ceremony Luau and ʻĀina Day.

Halawa Station Read Alouds with Councilmember Radiant Cordero

Ride, Shop, and Celebrate: Skyline and Aloha Stadium Swap Meet & Marketplace

DTS and the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet are teaming up for the Shop the New Year event at Hālawa Skyline Station and the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet and Marketplace, offering a fun-filled morning of shopping, giveaways, and activities. Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i

January 17-19, 2026 and January 23-25, 2026

The 2026 Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i Music & Book Sale is the 15th annual fundraiser, featuring thousands of records, CDs, books, DVDs, audiobooks, artwork, comics, and more for sale over two weekends in January at Ward Centre Mall in Honolulu. Proceeds support Hawai‘i’s public libraries, and volunteers help run the event, which offers member perks like Sunday discounts.
