HONOLULU (HI Now) - The Hawaiian Humane Society joins us in-studio to introduce Tater Tot, a terrier mix available for adoption at their Mōiliʻili Campus whose affectionate personality shines through his adorable lowrider build. Brandy Shimabukuro shared critical New Year’s Eve pet safety tips, reminding viewers that pets’ sensitive hearing makes fireworks extremely distressing. She emphasized advance preparation including creating safe spaces, ensuring proper identification with registered microchipping(required by state law), exercising pets beforehand, and consulting veterinarians about anxiety management .She also detailed what to do if your pet gets lost or if you find a lost pet in the aftermath of the New Year’s fireworks.
