HONOLULU (HI Now) - Edie Mayeshiro, Medical Assistance Program Officer with the Department of Human Services – Med-QUEST Division, shares details about the Hawaii Child Wellness Incentive Program (HCWIP), a pilot program designed to support keiki health.
Eligible parents enrolled in Medicaid or QUEST can receive a $50 prepaid incentive card for each child who completes an annual well-child exam. These exams ensure children receive vaccinations, developmental screenings, and preventive care, helping families stay proactive about their health. Cards can be used for food and household necessities, and families with multiple children may receive multiple cards. For more information, visit HCWIP or call 833-909-3631.
