HONOLULU (HI Now) - Dawn Ijiri, Director of Human Resources at La Pietra – Hawai‘i School for Girls, was the recipient of the 2025 Professional Achievement Award from NBOA: Business Leadership for Independent Schools.
Ijiri was one of only five independent school business office staff members across the world to receive the award, which honors business and operations staff at independent schools who have made significant and lasting contributions to their school’s operations or financial health.
“Few professionals embody the intersection of strategic vision and human compassion as fully as Dawn Ijiri,” said Head of School Jennifer Grems. “Dawn has created an HR presence that did not exist before her tenure – one that inspires confidence, drives innovation, and leaves a lasting impact.”
The La Pietra community gathered in the Fountain Courtyard for a special all-school assembly to celebrate Ijiri’s achievement and recognize her exceptional contributions to the school.
