HONOLULU (HI Now) - The Hawaiʻi Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation has reduced officer vacancies through targeted recruitment campaigns, expanded training (increasing recruit classes from five to eight annually) and island-based training to ease family burdens. Hiring now includes corrections officers and roughly 900 support roles in healthcare, IT, logistics and more.
