HONOLULU (HI Now) - For more than 40 years, Friends of Honolulu City Lights has helped bring holiday magic to Honolulu, creating cherished traditions for keiki, kupuna, and visitors alike. This volunteer nonprofit partners with the City and County of Honolulu to present the beloved Honolulu City Lights celebration at Honolulu Hale, featuring festive displays, music, hula, movies, and free milk and cookies for keiki—all free to the public throughout the month.

The community is also invited to tune in for a special one-hour broadcast of the Honolulu City Lights Public Workers Electric Light Parade, airing Dec. 20 on KGMB, Dec. 23 on KHNL, and Dec. 25 on KFVE. In addition, commemorative Honolulu City Lights ornaments are available for purchase, with all proceeds supporting the continuation of this free annual event.
