HONOLULU (HI Now) - Attendance matters and is a collaborative effort by both family and school. Students who are present every day, on time, and ready to learn benefit from the comprehensive support systems and enriching learning environments Hawaiʻi public schools offer.

Kalihi Elementary School’s innovative Walking School Bus is driving increased attendance numbers and family engagement—all clear indicators of a positive and thriving school community.
