HONOLULU (HI Now) - The Salvation Army Hawaiian & Pacific Islands (TSA HIPAC) serves Hawai‘i, Guam, the CNMI, the FSM, and the Marshall Islands with a clear mission: to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Addressing food insecurity, youth support, homelessness, addiction, and disaster response, TSA HIPAC meets people where they are—offering shelter, recovery services, family support, and emergency aid—then walks with them toward long‑term healing. In Guam, the Lighthouse Recovery Center provides residential treatment, counseling, job readiness, and outreach, alongside family services and a thrift store that helps fund local programs; TSA has also supported recovery from major disasters, including Typhoon Yutu (2018) and Typhoon Mawar (2023). Across Micronesia and the Marshall Islands—where TSA marks 40 years and operates nine corps over five atolls—officers and volunteers deliver education, youth ministries, emergency assistance, and seasonal events like Thanksgiving meals and food box distributions. Following September’s Chuuk Lagoon oil leak, TSA mobilized food support for villages on Uman island and remains ready to assist as international efforts continue. This impact is amplified through partnerships—donations, cause marketing, in‑kind gifts, and volunteerism—that restore dignity, hope, and opportunity, one person at a time.
