HONOLULU (HI Now) - The Honolulu City Charter Commission is inviting the public to take part in shaping Honolulu’s future in a process that happens only once every ten years. The Commission is currently accepting proposals for Charter amendments through November 7, 2025, and will be hosting free community information sessions across Oʻahu this October. These sessions will help residents understand the Charter process, ask questions, and learn how to submit proposals. Proposals approved by the Commission will be placed on the November 2026 general election ballot, giving voters the final say. Don’t miss this once-in-a-decade opportunity to make your voice count in Honolulu’s governing document.
