HONOLULU (HI Now) - Robert Siavii, Jr. is celebrating three years as an Adult Corrections Officer with Waiawa Correctional Facility—and he says the role has been life-changing. Inspired by his brother, Robert joined the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (DCR) to build a more rewarding future for himself and his family.
At Waiawa, he sees his work as more than security—it’s about helping people. He focuses on treating individuals with dignity, guiding them toward new skills, and preparing them for re-entry into the community. Robert credits the career with strengthening his communication skills and providing a deeper sense of purpose.
