HONOLULU (HI Now) - Big changes are on the horizon for Hawaiian Airlines travelers. Beginning October 1, HawaiianMiles will officially join forces with Alaska Airlines’ Mileage Plan, offering a single, seamless loyalty program for both airlines. While the transition is underway, current members can rest easy—no immediate changes will affect HawaiianMiles accounts, and mileage earning and redemption will continue as usual.
To prepare, Hawaiian Airlines encourages members with accounts on both platforms to link them now for a smooth migration when the new program launches.
In the meantime, the airline is also spotlighting its locally rooted loyalty program, Huakaʻi by Hawaiian. Designed with kamaʻāina in mind, Huakaʻi offers exclusive island-style perks and cultural experiences. To celebrate, Hawaiian Airlines has launched a new sweepstakes in partnership with the Hawaiʻi Food & Wine Festival. Members who sign up for Huakaʻi by August 31 will be automatically entered to win a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Plus, there’s an added bonus: those who join Huakaʻi by August 10 will receive a complimentary one-month Apple TV subscription—perfect for catching the highly anticipated Native Hawaiian-led series, Chief of War.
Whether you’re a loyal flyer or just looking to travel more meaningfully, now is the perfect time to explore what the future of Hawaiian Airlines has to offer.
