HONOLULU (HI Now) - The Honolulu Police Department is currently recruiting in three areas. Sergeant Walter Espiritu discusses the fulfillment of a career in law enforcement, detailing the following positions: Metropolitan Police, Recruit (MPR), Police Service Officer (Cadets), and Police Communications Officer (PCO). Accompanying Sergeant Espiritu is Anaya Domingo, who is a cadet at HPD’s Police Service Officer program. In this interview, she shares her experience in the PSO program. Also in attendance is Corporal Kameron Lum, who is a trainer for the new cadet Application Conditioning Training program. Corporal Lum will demonstrate some of the conditioning exercises and drills in the ACT program.
The City and County of Honolulu will be participating in the Career Expo at the Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall, on July 30, 2025, from 9am to 2pm. We invite everyone to come to all our department career booths to learn more about a career in civil service and how to start an application with the City!
