The Mākeke at Keiki Hula Shop, connect, and celebrate at The Mākeke at Keiki Hula, July 26–28 — a weekend market uplifting local and youth-led businesses.

HONOLULU (HI Now) - This weekend, experience the spirit of aloha through local entrepreneurship and cultural celebration. The Mākeke at Keiki Hula, hosted by the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA), brings together Hawaiʻi’s favorite local brands, small businesses, and youth entrepreneurs for three days of shopping, storytelling, and community connection.

Location: Neal S. Blaisdell Center, Exhibition Hall

Dates and Times:

  • Friday, July 26: 2 PM – 8 PM
  • Saturday, July 27: 10 AM – 6 PM
  • Sunday, July 28: 10 AM – 4 PM

Held alongside the annual Keiki Hula Competition, this free, family-friendly market highlights more than 60 Native Hawaiian-owned and local vendors. Featured businesses include:

  • Manaola, blending fashion and cultural heritage
  • Kanileʻa ʻUkulele, masters of handcrafted Hawaiian instruments
  • Nā Mea Hawaiʻi, celebrating Hawaiʻi’s culture through books, crafts, and gifts
  • Keiki Rise, an ʻōpio-led organization supporting young entrepreneurs
  • Big Boy Sweets, a local treat company founded by one of Hawaiʻi’s youngest CEOs
  • Aloha Modern, known for telling moʻolelo (stories) through modern design
  • Kahui Palaka, honoring Hawaiʻi’s working-class roots through iconic palaka prints

This weekend’s market is a showcase of innovation, tradition, and the power of local support. Thanks to community partners like Royal Hawaiian Center, Festival Companies, and Hawaiʻi Stage, guests will also enjoy live programming throughout the event.
