HONOLULU (HI Now) - Under the Wig Productions isn’t just a show—it’s a movement. Founded by Travis Duenas, a longtime talent liaison for RuPaul’s Drag Race queens in Hawaii, Under the Wig Productions was born from the stories behind the glam. After years of connecting with queens beyond the stage, Travis realized that when the glitter fades and the wig comes off, what remains is a powerful story waiting to be told. This inspired the creation of “Under the Wig,” a digital journal turned production company that gives a platform to those stories—and so much more.

The mission of Under the Wig Productions is clear: to build vibrant, fun, and safe spaces where Hawaii’s LGBTQIA+ community can connect, express, and thrive. Their shows aren’t just entertainment—they’re love letters to identity, confidence, and joy. With a stage that serves as a blank canvas for drag queens, kings, and performers of all kinds, each event is a celebration of culture, artistry, and lived experience.

Bringing high-caliber drag talent to Hawaii isn’t just about dazzling performances—it’s also about education and elevation.
