HONOLULU (HI Now) - Farm Link Hawaiʻi’s mission is to transform local food production into a thriving industry and make good local food accessible to all. Founded by and for farmers in 2015, Farm Link Hawaiʻi is the premier marketplace for local online grocery shopping, working with over 330 Hawaiʻi farmers, ranchers, and food makers to offer a wide selection of fresh produce, eggs, meat, pantry staples, prepared foods, snacks, beverages, and more. The marketplace makes great local food accessible across Oʻahu through direct home delivery seven days a week. Those using SNAP-EBT receive free delivery and the DA BUX (Double Up Food Bucks) 50% discount on local produce and poi.

Feed the Hunger’s mission is to provide entrepreneurs with access to capital, technical assistance and networks that help increase their income and build assets. The organization aims to create healthy, equitable and sustainable food systems that nourish everyone.

Thanks to a working capital loan from Feed the Hunger Fund, supported with the Hawaii Green Infrastructure Authority’s HI-CAP Collateral Support Program, Farm Link Hawaiʻi is able to deepen our collaboration with local producers and expand selection on our marketplace. This will help to grow the volume and variety of locally produced food available to our community and ensure that local food businesses thrive, contributing to Hawaiʻi’s food security, and to a healthy, diverse economy.

The Hawaii Green Infrastructure Authority (HGIA), widely known for solar financing, expanded its impact in 2022, by launching the HI-CAP Collateral Support Program, funded by the U.S. Treasury under the State Small Business Credit Initiative.

Through HI-CAP, HGIA partners with participating Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) — like Feed the Hunger Fund— to help bridge the access to capital gap to eligible Hawaii small businesses, start-ups, and nonprofits.
