HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Three local women who met in elementary school have joined creative forces to create the Future of Cool, a company dedicated to providing cooling products for athletes, busy parents, perimenopause sufferers and anyone who tends to break a sweat.
Risa Hoshino is a makeup artist who was born and raised in Japan. She says she discovered cooling wipes there but wanted to improve upon the concept. “They make these in Japan, but they’re not biodegradable, and they’re not sold in America. I wanted to create something that’s sold in America, available to everyone and eco-friendly.”
The wipes are individually wrapped and biodegradable. The friends didn’t want the products to have a synthetic fragrance, so instead they’re infused with rosemary and peppermint. They say the resulting smell is great for those with anxiety or hot flashes.
The creators also have handmade soap and a spray, with more products in the works. More information about their products can be found at futureofcool.co and their products will be featured at a pop-up at Outrigger Waikiki Paradise Hotel on Saturday, May 17th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
