Mililani Garden Market boasts more than 100 vendors Mililani Garden Nights brings food, games, live music, and 100+ vendors to Mari Gardens on May 17, 4–9PM—fun for the whole family!

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Food, games, live music and beer will be just a few of the festivities offered at an event in Mililani on Saturday, May 17th at Mari Gardens.

Travis Araki of Mari Gardens says it’s a family-friendly event, complete with prizes for the keiki. “We don’t really have an event space in Mililani, so we just want to bring families together and bring our community together for a good time.”

Araki recognizes that parking can be a challenge, but he’s already worked out a solution for all the attendees. Visitors can park at Mililani High School or Mililani Uka and then take a trolley to the event. Trolley tickets are available online in advance at Mililanigardennights.com.

More than 100 vendors will set up on Saturday so attendees can shop, eat and enjoy the live music from Ten Feet & Shar Carillo, Big Every Time (BET) and The Imposters.

One of those vendors will be the husband-and-wife team of Rocky and Tamara Chandara from Saap Saap HI.

Tamara says their food truck came to be after a night of food and drinks with friends. They were joking about kicking off business, and then decided to actually make it happen. The recipes for their best-selling products like lao fried chicken and lao sausage came down from family traditions.

“I said mom, you moved away from me. I need you to teach me to make all this delicious food you have me eating,” said Rocky.

Tamara also gets creative in the kitchen, creating a special Vietnamese coffee from cold brew, and an eye-catching glitter tea.

Mililani Garden Nights is open to all ages, but the beer garden is restricted to 21 and older. The fun takes place from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Mari Gardens, 94-415 Makapipipi Street.
