HONOLULU (HI Now) - At Sunspear Energy, growth isn’t just about bigger spaces — it’s about expanding our mission to accelerate Hawai’i’s transition to clean energy. Our move from Dillingham to a brand-new, much larger location on Nimitz Highway marks a major milestone for our company, our team, and the communities we serve.
Our new space is six times larger than our previous office, giving us room to continue growing and making an even bigger impact. The expanded footprint supports everything from maintaining older solar systems with our expanded service division, to storing materials for larger projects, to housing our growing vehicle fleet — a huge benefit on an island where parking can be a real challenge.
But it’s more than just space. This new headquarters is an investment in our people and our culture. With more room to collaborate, host team events (like our “Funspear” BBQs), and conduct critical training sessions like OSHA certification, we’re building a stronger, more connected team ready to take clean energy in Hawai’i to the next level.
As we grow, we’re looking for talented individuals who share our passion for renewable energy and community impact. Current openings include:
- Solar Technician (O’ahu)
- PV System Design Engineer (O’ahu)
- Project Engineer – Commercial (O’ahu)
- Licensed Electrician – Residential (Kailua-Kona, Big Island)
If you’re driven to be part of Hawai’i’s clean energy future, Sunspear Energy could be your next home.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to host educational events to help customers — and anyone interested is encouraged to learn more about solar power and energy solutions. We’ve also expanded to the Big Island and are actively growing our team there, broadening our impact across the islands.
