Loan capital for small business owners, like Malama Mushroom, is available to eligible Hawaii small business owners through a partnership between Feed the Hunger Fund and the Hawaii Green Infrastructure Authority’s HI-CAP CDFI Loan Program.

Hawaii Green Infrastructure Authority (HGIA), widely known for solar financing, expanded its impact in 2022, by launching the HI-CAP CDFI Loan Program. The program is federally funded by the U.S. Treasury.

Through HI-CAP, HGIA partners with participating Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) —like Feed the Hunger Fund— to provide low-cost loan capital to eligible Hawaii small businesses, start-ups, and entrepreneurs.
