Kūpuna classes offered this summer at your city park Learn more about the Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation's summer kūpuna classes at the park!

HONOLULU (HI Now) - The Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is committed to keeping our island ‘ohana engaged—no matter your age! From keiki (children) to kūpuna (elders), DPR offers seasonal classes every Spring, Summer, and Fall that support physical, social, and recreational wellness.

One popular offering is the free archery program. This past Spring, DPR hosted 53 archery classes, with even more planned for Summer. Archery fans like Andy and Annette love the program—not just for the fun, but for the focus and coordination skills they’ve gained along the way.

Over 82% of DPR’s programs are free, including archery, making it easy for families and seniors alike to participate. Kūpuna are especially encouraged to stay active through these programs, as well as through our 30 senior clubs across O’ahu and special events like the Senior Valentine Dance, Fun Walk, and Craft & Country Fair. Plus, mark your calendars for the City-wide senior archery tournament this November!

Summer Program registration kicks off in mid-May—right after Summer Fun registration—so get ready to join the fun! For more information, visit bit.ly/oahuseniors.
