HONOLULU (HI Now) - Snacking often gets a bad rap, but it can be a great way for kūpuna to meet their nutritional needs. During National Nutrition Month, Michelle Cordero-Lee, Hawaiʻi Meals on Wheels’ CEO, and Dash Corpe, a registered dietitian nutritionist, share about healthy snacks for kūpuna with recipes crafted specifically for their well-being.

Dash, owner of A Dash of Nutrition, provides one-on-one nutritional consulting and volunteers with Hawaiʻi Meals on Wheels by writing monthly nutritional articles and tips for clients. Dash treats us to two favorite, easy-to-make snacks – Greek Yogurt Parfait and Avocado Toast with Smoked Salmon.

Michelle shares insight on the growing need for medically tailored meals as Hawaiʻi Meals on Wheels kūpuna clients diets become more complex as they age.
