HONOLULU (HI Now) - East Maui Land Restoration (EMLR) is a nonprofit organization that works to facilitate community driven invasive species mitigation, agricultural asset development and visitor management. We offer a solution for private property owners by providing land management services powered by place-specific intelligence. Our work is centered around creating access and opportunities for generational tenants and members of the broader island community to play a part in better maintaining the lands in East Maui through the implementation of strategic watershed restoration initiatives. EMLR has launched a fundraising campaign to generate support for its organization.

East Maui Land Restoration’s values are centered around:

· Mauka to Makai stream flow connectivity as the primary means to ensuring East Maui’s watershed well-being.

· Implementing land management interventions based on indigenous stewardship principles.

· Engaging East Maui descendants and island residents to embrace kuleana.
