HONOLULU (HI Now) - Sentry’s PGA TOUR sponsorship goes far beyond the game of golf—it’s a platform for connection, community support, and lasting impact. Since becoming a title sponsor in 2018, Sentry has contributed $7.5 million to local charities, solidifying its commitment to Maui’s people and future. With the longest-running title sponsorship on the PGA TOUR, extending through 2035, Sentry is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections both on and off the course.
In response to the devastating 2023 wildfires, the Sentry Mālama Nā Keiki Initiative focuses on addressing Maui’s youth mental health crisis. Partnering with Maui United Way, Sentry is providing trauma-informed care to children and families, with $2 million of their $3 million wildfire relief contributions specifically allocated to youth mental health services.
Sentry’s Connected Communities initiative bridges the gap between Maui and Stevens Point, Wisconsin, Sentry’s hometown. This program encourages cultural exchange, academic collaboration, and environmental restoration projects, including partnerships between the two communities’ universities to rebuild Lahaina’s ecosystems.
Through these efforts, Sentry continues to demonstrate its commitment to building strong, resilient communities, creating a positive legacy that extends far beyond the golf course.
