Support Hawaii ocean cleanups this Giving Tuesday Connie Lu from Sensei Farms and Kevin O’Brien from Papahānaumokuākea Marine Debris Project talk about their partnership and how you can support their mission!

HONOLULU (HI Now) - Sensei Farms is proud to announce its partnership with Papahānaumokuākea Marine Debris Project (PMDP) as part of its commitment to reducing plastic waste. This partnership follows the recent launch of Sensei Farms’ new paperboard packaging, which contains 93% less plastic than its previous form. To mark this year’s Giving Tuesday on December 3rd, Sensei Farms is featuring PMDP in its paperboard packaging to highlight the nonprofit’s vital efforts of removing plastic and marine debris from our oceans.

PMDP is currently fundraising for 2025 cleanups, which will take place in April, August and October. There is a $50,000 matching challenge campaign on the table. Every dollar donated between Giving Tuesday and the end of the month will be doubled, up to $50,000! All proceeds go directly to cleanup campaigns. If you, or anyone you know is passionate about marine conservation and is an excellent waterman or waterwoman, PMDP is seeking applicants to be a part of their team this coming spring.
