Community Month with First Hawaiian Bank

Sponsored by First Hawaiian Bank

Community Month with First Hawaiian Bank Learn how First Hawaiian Bank is committed to strengthening the community, partnering with local organizations, and giving back through charitable initiatives.

HONOLULU (HI Now) - FHB’s mission is bringing together our people, culture, and technology to deliver personalized financial solutions to meet our customers’ needs. Beyond banking, FHB is committed to strengthening the community, partnering with local organizations, and giving back through charitable initiatives.

Employees generously donate to local charities through the bank’s annual Kokua Mai Campaign. The Kokua Mai Campaign allows our employees to provide direct financial support to local charities. Over 98% of our employees participate in this annual giving campaign. Since the launch of our Kokua Mai campaign in 2007, our employees contributed more than $12 million dollars to local charities.

Our employees also give back with their time through volunteering to community organizations or directly rolling up their sleeves by serving on our YesTeam and through our Community Care program. Community Care is a program fully run by employees who give up their Saturday morning to roll up their sleeves and tackling projects across the state. This may look like going out and painting a school, participating in the Special Olympics Torch Run, or spending time cheering on swimmers at the Summer Games.
