HONOLULU (HI Now) - For over 75 years, Hawaii Baptist Academy (HBA) has been equipping students in faith, innovation, and leadership. They are currently accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year for preschool through high school. Here’s three areas that we explored during our visit at HBA’s elementary campus.
HBA’s Campaign for Transformation
In celebration of HBA’s 75th anniversary, Billie Takaki Lueder, Director of Institutional Advancement, shares how the Campaign for Transformation is creating state-of-the-art spaces at HBA’s elementary campus. This segment highlights plans for new facilities, including an Innovation and Discovery Center, a rooftop deck, and more. Together, these additions embody HBA’s vision to enhance student learning and inspire the next generation.
Christian Ministries and Faith-Based Development
Cindy Gaskins and Hanna Marie Clements from HBA’s Christian Ministries team explore HBA’s commitment to spiritual growth. They discuss their department’s role in student life, as well as programs like Christian Emphasis Week and faith-based clubs that support students from elementary to high school in building character and community.

Early Learning Centers and Elementary Academics
Elementary Principal Emmett Winters and Traci Morihara highlights HBA’s academic offers, STEM programs, and extracurricular activities designed to prepare students academically and spiritually. Emmett also introduces HBA’s expanding Early Learning Centers at Nu’uanu and Mililani campuses, providing opportunities for young learners in a nurturing environment.
