HONOLULU (HI Now) - Sage Creamery crafts Hawai’i-inspired ice creams with high quality organic + locally sourced ingredients, including vanilla beans from Lāʻie Vanilla Company, chocolate chips from Mānoa Chocolate in Kailua, and kiawe honey from Mānoa Honey & Mead in Wahiawā, among others.

Sage Creamery is named in honor of co-owner Zach Villanueva’s late brother, Daniel, who they refer to as their “Sage”. An aspiring entrepreneur himself, it was his life + death that ultimately led us on this journey called Sage Creamery.

They started this business at the beginning of the 2020 pandemic. Selling ice cream on Instagram, making home deliveries during the lockdowns. They later expanded to local farmers markets, eventually rolling out their very own mobile ice cream truck. They most recently opened their first brick & mortar scoop shop and café located in the new development of Hoʻopili in West O’ahu.
