HONOLULU (HI Now) - STIX ASIA is the only Food Hall in the country with all Asian eateries showcasing different flavors of authentic Asian cuisines. In honor of Asian Heritage month, HI Now Daily will be diving into so many different types of noodles in Asian countries.
We are back to Japan! Not only Japan is known for its famous Hokkaido style ramen and Tokyo style ramen, Japan is also famous for Soba and Udon noodles. Here at STIX ASIA, we get to experience both.
At Shingen, they care deeply about the quality of our menu and its health benefits as well. They import buckwheat flour directly from Hokkaido and make the noodles in Hawaii, providing fresh and tasty soba noodles. Recently, they have also been offering soba noodles with a healthier green color kneaded with Moringa and udon noodles with a light purple color kneaded with Ube. They also offer a variety of a la carte dishes that can be enjoyed izakaya style. Lastly, they are soon introducing their new summer menu which will feature our signature pork katsu bowl. At Udon Yama, they have put in a lot of effort to replicate the best Udon experience in Hawaii by making our noodles in-house daily. Using flour imported from Japan, mixing it with purified and soft water that runs through our special filtration to create authentic Japanese Udon noodles. They use two aging cellar in-house aged twice at different temperatures to create a chewy texture. Our soup is also made by Kyokane Brewery soy sauce from Kagawa Prefecture, the home of Sanuki Udon serving authentic Japanese style Udon broth. For more information, visit stixasia.com/udon-yama
