Yes you can (and probably should) learn computers Kaʻala Souza, Executive Director of Digital Ready Hawaii, shares how they help kupuna become digital literate!

HONOLULU (HI Now) - Māpunawai exists to bridge the digital divide and build economic opportunities for Hawaii residents through programs that address digital equity (i.e. devices, skills development, and broadband access) and provide training that teach people how to build and grow online business leveraging the internet for economic opportunities.

Hawaii had one of the most literate nations in the world in the late 1800s. Digital Ready Hawaii wants to perpetuate that vision adding “digital” to literacy and have one of the most digitally literate states in the country. Digital literacy, like reading literacy, give people opportunities (e.g. work, staying connected, learning). They offer classes and provide free training and free computers.
