Love’s Brand and Hawaii Foodservice Alliance creates life-changing wishes Make-A-Wish Hawaii and Hawaii Foodservice Alliance shares how they're helping to transform the lives of keiki with critical illnesses across the state!

HONOLULU (HI Now) - Wishes are powerful medicine that give children the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness. Wishes are only possible with the generosity of WishMakers in our community who donate their time, talent, and treasure to transform lives, one wish at a time. A single wish has the power to impact not only the life of the wish child and his or her family, but of the entire community, and we are excited for more supporters across the state to join us as WishMakers and experience the power of a wish come true. Make-A-Wish Hawaii is grateful for the Love’s Brand and Hawaii Foodservice Alliance for its continued heartfelt support to transform the lives of keiki with critical illnesses across the state of Hawaii.

The Love’s Brand and Hawaii Foodservice Alliance has committed to donating $150,000 to nonprofits in Hawaii to date—proceeds from the purchase of the Love’s brand support this initiative year-round, with additional monetary commitments made annually. Yesterday, on April 24, during the World Wish Month Telethon on KHON2, the Love’s Brand and Hawaii Foodservice Alliance made a $2,500 donation to Make-A-Wish Hawaii to help transform the lives of keiki with critical illnesses across the state.

The Love’s Brand is proud to support nonprofits in Hawaii through the Spirit of Giving initiative. Annually, Love’s asks its customers to nominate nonprofit organizations that are in need of support throughout the islands. Nonprofits are then selected and awarded funds to support their causes. Love’s continues to give back to the communities in Hawaii with a portion of every item sold.

The Love’s Brand will launch the 4th annual Love’s Spirit of Giving in partnership with Hawaii Foodservice Alliance this July. Follow Love’s at @lovebakerybread on Instagram to learn more about nominating nonprofits in Hawaii.

Last year, in addition to the Spirit of Giving campaign, the Love’s Brand partnered with Make-A-Wish Hawaii on the first Giving Tuesday matching program in Make-A-Wish Hawaii’s history, which helped raise nearly $32,000 in additional funds—a remarkable achievement credited to the generosity of the Love’s Brand. The Love’s Brand will again offer a Giving Tuesday match in 2024, matching donations made to Make-A-Wish Hawaii, up to $25,000!
