HONOLULU (HI Now) - Alaska Airlines has always maintained a strong committment to uplifting and empowering Hawaiʻi and it’s communiies. Through a partnership with ClimbHI, Alaska Airlines is able to support educational efforts that aim to inspire students to finish high school and proceed to post-secondary education or employment by exposing them to future career paths and the steps necessary to achieve those goals. ClimbHI reaches thousands of students and teachers across the state each year.

Founded in 2009, this community non-profit continues to seek community support to sustain education and culture for students through real-life exposure

Joining us to discuss their most recent initiative – the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training program in Maui, are Chandler Cowell, UH Wahine Volleyball Team Member, Kari Kaita, Student at Farrington High School, Iosefa Tuiafiso-Toa, Student at Waiʻanae High School, and Vincent Lemalu, Student at Waiʻanae High School alongside ClimbHI President, Julie Morikawa.
