In October 2019, Dave and his brother Jerry, along with his close long time friend,Mark Szczepanski, collaborated to pool their respective experience in the food industry and Japanese cuisine, to open Katsu Sando 808. Katsu Sando 808 has quickly developed a loyal following. After Mark’s departure, Dave and his wife Nani have been able to retain the food truck business and have been operating every Saturday, from 8am – 12pm at the Kakaako Farmer’s Market. Katsu Sando 808 recently expanded their business by offering catering services.
