HONOLULU (HI Now) - August is Drive Aloha Month and DTRIC Insurance is launching a competition called the Drive Aloha Challenge, in search for the best driver in Hawaii using a smartphone app.
From August 1 to 30, drivers can compete to win a $1,000 by practicing safe driving behavior. The Drive Aloha Challenge uses a smartphone-based app called the Visual Drive that scores your driving in five areas: rapid acceleration, harsh braking, sharp turns, at-risk speeding, and phone distraction. You’ll receive a score minutes after each trip. The driver at the top of the Visual Drive Leaderboard at the end of the contest will win a $1,000!
Download the Visual Drive app on your iPhone or Android using a unique handle and follow the prompts to set up an account to join User Group 427485. You must be 18 years or older and have a valid drivers license to participate.
