HONOLULU (HI Now) - HBA’s high school journalism team, the Eagle Eye, continues to be recognized for its work, taking home top honors in several categories in the Hawaii High School Journalism Awards.

The competition is an opportunity for HBA’s students to participate and showcase their classwork to industry professionals, who provide feedback. Schools are judged in 20 categories covering different forms of writing, visual media, design, and delivery platforms. Points are awarded to teams that placed in the top three or received an honorable mention, with the “Best in State” title going to the team with the most points.
