The Drive Aloha initiative was created in 2016 by DTRIC Insurance. It’s mission is to encourages everyone to practice responsible, courteous, and safe traffic habits, to help reduce the number of traffic accidents on our roads.

DTRIC launched the Drive Aloha PSA video contest among high school students since many of them are either new drivers or are learning to drive. DTRIC asked them to use their talents to create a public service announcement video that would answer the question, “What does Drive Aloha mean to you?” The videos were judged on 1) the relevance to the topic, 2) creativity, and 3) production value. The first-place winner of the DTRIC Insurance Drive Aloha PSA video contest was James Campbell High School with their entry entitled “Watch Out Aunty.” This winning video was chosen for it’s safe driving message with lots of emotions, and a bit of humor that everyone can relate to.
