Par Hawaii partners with Hui O Ho‘ohonua

Sponsored by Par Hawaii

HONOLULU (HI Now) - Hui o Ho`ohonua was created by members of the `Ewa community with a mission to address the historical trauma to the land, water, and people in the `Ewa Moku on `Oahu. The development of their mission was motivated by their observations of environmental neglect and pollution in Pearl Harbor (Pu`uloa), as well as the social needs of the people who live in the surrounding moku.

Par Hawaii has not just donated funds to Hui o Ho`ohonua, their employees have volunteered, adopted a large section of the shoreline for long-term maintenance and supported a student-driven project to repair a fishing pavilion.
