HONOLULU (HI Now) - In 2021, Chaminade University’s School of Business and Communication launched the Economic Education Center for Excellence to support financial literacy and Hawaii’s vision of a sustainable future. It nucleates a diverse community of stakeholders in support of Hawaii’s resilient, diversified, and just future economy. The Economic Education Center for Excellence develops and implements educational programs for educators, students, and the community in support of K-through-kupuna economic empowerment in Hawaii and the US-affiliated Pacific. The Center’s research activities focus on economic justice and social mobility to inform data-driven decisions and policy-making.
