HONOLULU (HI Now) - Kainoa Carlson is in New York experiencing all there is to New York Fashion Week. Today, he’s behind the scenes with Hawaii’s very own Lotus and Lime as they prepare to hit the big stage!
Fusing Hawaiian and Japanese culture, Lotus and Lime is hard at work making sure everything is perfect before their big debut. The local models are excited and full of energy as they prepare to display the amazing pieces created by Lotus and Lime! “You can feel the electricity, everyone is so excited! We have some Native Hawaiian’s that live in New York joining us that we’re really excited about,” says Owner Jade Alexis Ryusaki.
“I hope that it paved the way for more people, and that they see that we’re not just a tiny island, but that we have a ton of talent,” says Owner Kimberly Ryusaki.
