HONOLULU (HI Now) - Ola Hou Designs started in 2019, and has since become wildly popular. They recently received an invitation to fashions largest stage, New York Fashion Week!
Sharayah Chun-Lai, Owner of Ola Hou Designs, says that her inspiration comes from her grandmother. “She was the most beautiful, classy women that I looked up to,” she says. With an entrepreneurial drive and the desire to stay home and raise her daughter, Sharayah stared Ola Hou Designs with the goal of bring a new, modern look to Hawaii and Aloha wear.
When she received the invitation, Sharayah said she was shocked. “I completely broke down in tears. This is a dream for any fashion designer. This is the place to be, to show off your prints and designs,” she says.
