Flowers aren’t the only thing you’ll find at Watanabe Floral these days! Introducing Watanabe Fresh Foods & Market, a section dedicated to providing you with wonderful food options through collaborations with some of Hawaii’s finest farms. HI Now host Kainoa Carlson stopped by the Nimitz showroom to check it out.
At Watanabe Fresh Foods & Market, you’ll find an assortment of locally grown produce, eggs, snacks and chocolates as well as other food staples. Online you’ll find fruit baskets and produce box sets in addition to its marketplace of local foods.
“It’s an exciting way for our team to continue to be essential as well as another avenue to help local farms here in Hawaii,” says General Manager Monty Pereira.
Watanabe Floral is also partnering with The Kau Kau Box, a subscription box that contains prepared meals by some of Hawaii’s top chefs twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Now you can send one of these boxes to a family in need or for other occasions where flowers and food can bring happiness together.
“Flowers have the unique ability to bring happiness and joy into the home or office,” Pereira begins. “Especially this year with COVID, send bright, beautiful flowers to brighten up a loved ones day — especially our kupuna!”
For all of those loved ones living on the mainland missing Hawaii, they can now enjoy popular local snacks from Enjoy Snacks and Hawaiian Chip Company shipped directly to their door!
A Cake Life, one of Hawaii’s leaders in the baking arena, will also be partnering with Watanabe Floral both in store and online to add help bring some sweetness to the community.
Pereira says COVID has changed a lot of things, but one thing has remained the same, and that’s the blessing of being able to serve the community.
