The Dine and Shop Pop-Up is back at Aloha Stadium on Sunday, October 24. You can catch the special pop up at the swap meet every Sunday from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. through November 15. Kahai Street Kitchen is one of the eateries you’ll be able to find there, and HI Now host Kainoa Carlson got a preview of the menu.
Kahai Street Kitchen has been serving up elevated plate lunches for 14 years now. Known for its unique daily specials, quality food, and extensive menu, the restaurant has become a local staple. It’s also now open for breakfast on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. After moving from its Kalihi location, you can now find the restaurant is on the corner of Coolidge and King Street right across from the Old Stadium and after First Hawaiian Bank.
Dean & Deluca is another one of the participating restaurants at Dine and Shop Pop-Up. The restaurant has been temporarily closed since March, but you can still get its delicious food! In addition to the pop-up, the restaurant is also at the FarmLovers Market in Kakaako every Saturday from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. This is actually the same menu that will be available at the Aloha Stadium. Dean & Deluca has also created an Aloha Aina Fresh Box that you can warm up and enjoy at home. The box helps to support local farmers and there’s a new one every two weeks.
Don’t forget to check out Gifts by Karen M for custom wire art and jewelry! Each piece is made from the heart and can be given as gifts or kept as a unique piece for your own collection. You’ll find earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings. Her jewelry has a local flavor, crafted with materials from Hawaii using precious shells, pearls, sea glass, and stones. Her booth will also have some cotton face masks as well as hand sewn gift bags in Hawaiian prints.
The Dine and Shop Pop-Up will take place at the Aloha Stadium every Sunday through November 15. Masks are required, and the event will be social distanced. Some eateries will even be doing pre-orders for easy pick up, so be sure to get out and support Hawaii’s restaurants and small businesses!
