Since traditional Halloween activities like trick-or-treating or haunted houses are being impacted by COVID-19, one way you can celebrate is by throwing a Halloween party at home with your family! And you can find everything you need at Ka Makana Ali’i. HI Now host Kanoe Gibson is with her own little ones picking up some supplies.
Skeletons? Pumpkins? Check! Double check! When it comes to decorations, you’ll find all the festive decor you need at SoHa Living. You can also create some fun crafts with a little help from The Party Store, and even make some spooktacular treats with the keiki with supplies from Foodland Farms!
Chef Brian from Foodland Farms says it’s easy to make fun cupcake monsters, cookie bats and more with Maika’i products all found at Foodland. These snacks are fun for everyone in the ‘ohana and allow keiki to get creative and enjoy a sweet treat!
To celebrate Halloween this year, Ka Makana Ali’i is putting on a Drive-Thru Boo event on Saturday, October 31 from 4 – 6 p.m. This is a no-contact, family-friendly events where the center is inviting the community to bring their little ghosts and goblins to its parking lot for a spooktacularly sweet event.
“We know it’s been a tough year and want to bring some joy to our community,” says Ka Makana Ali’i General Manager Stephanie England. “They are at the heart of everything we do and keeping them safe is our top priority.”
At the Drive-Thru Boo event, families can enjoy a safe, contact-free spooky good time from the comfort of their own car. Vehicles will stop at trick-or-treat stations for socially distant, safe Halloween fun where children will receive a goodie bag and treats from our tenants, while supplies last.
