HONOLULU (HI Now) - Sacred Hearts Academy is celebrating over 112 years of developing girls into young women through its girl-focused educational program, ways of teaching and extra-curricular activities. Academics are important as the Academy has a 100% college acceptance record. Early college classes and dual enrollment at Chaminade University of Honolulu and Leeward Community College are also offered. The Academy has a strong STEM program and offers robotics opportunities to students as early as Grade 1. Their Lancer Athletics programs encourages girls to try themselves out in a variety of sports, fielding over 55 teams in 22 different sports last year, with sports programs opportunities starting in the first grade. The Academy’s visual and performing arts programs continues to expand and looks forward to introducing a jewelry making class this fall. They will be welcoming audiences once more to enjoy this year’s Fall drama production at Mamiya Theatre, as well as attend several choir, band and dance performances throughout the year.
