Pizza, sandwiches, dough all made in-house

It’s not just the hand-made dough or great-tasting garlic cheese balls that makes Big Kahuna’s Pizza so good, it’s how the business has been treating its customers for 26 years. “We believe that our customer service is what kept us in business for the past 26 years,” said restaurant manager D.B Kim. “We treat our customers like family.”
Big Kahuna’s has been serving pizza, sandwiches, and garlic cheese balls since opening its doors in Mapunapuna back in 1994. Now, the store is located at the Airport Trade Center and is Zagat listed as one of the top 10 pizzas in the U.S. and rated best pan pizza on Oahu. All dough is made in-house and as you can imagine their garlic cheese balls, with over 10 million sold, are a local favorite.
Michael Bohol is one of the restaurant’s longest employed workers, having tossed pizza for over 21 years and according to his bosses has never missed one day of work. He is responsible for making the majority of the dough for pizzas, sandwiches and those famous garlic balls. “He’s our Big Kahuna,” said Kim, “and very valued!”
Big Kahuna’s Pizza favors using gas ovens over electric deck ovens and recently implemented a new online ordering system to accommodate those who are in a rush. But if you want to come down to the Airport Trade Center the restaurant offers 2 hour free parking with validation.
