What’s brewing at Honolulu Beerworks?

Oahu Brewery & Brewpub

If you’re looking for a great place to grab a cold beer, look no further than Honolulu Beerworks. The microbrewery is making well-made, delicious beer you can enjoy with family and friends in a neighborhood brewpub. Host Kanoe Gibson met up with the owner, Geoff Seideman and the director of sales, Sharon Heitzenroder for a tour and tasting.

Founded in 2014, Honolulu Beerworks is a family-owned and operated craft brewery on Oahu specializing in artisanal craft beers. With over five International Beer Cup Medals, and a limitless amount of creativity, Honolulu Beerworks delivers the finest beers in the state. From musty and earthy to sweet honey, you are invited to tap into one of the sixteen amazing flavors brewing there every day, including the award-winning CocoWeisen which boasts notes of toasted coconut and banana.

With the owner being a native of Philadelphia, Honolulu Beerworks accompanies its beer with a food menu including but not limited to tasty sandwiches and healthy salads. And the beer isn’t exempt here– the chef incorporates beer into its sauces and dressings as much as possible, which will not leave you disappointed.

Honolulu Beerworks prides itself on supporting the local community.  All of its labels are designed by local artists and its cans are locally sourced.  With its charitable giving programs to local and national organizations,Honolulu Beerworks also donates a portion of its proceeds from specified beers to non-profit organizations including the Pink Boots Society, local art non-profits, and the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

Honolulu Beerworks recently participated in the 2018 Yokohama Beerfest, bringing home the people’s choice award for its CocoWeisen beer.  It also served as a judge in the 2018 International Beer Cup, the most historical beer competition in the world.
