View the marvels of the sea like never before with submarine scooters

Island Watersports Hawaii

Living in Hawaii, we have the privilege of being surrounded by beautiful views and endless oceans. There are plenty of ways to enjoy the sea, but there is one method that is catching the attention of visitors and locals alike.

Island Watersports Hawaii offers a unique, underwater adventure using submarine scooters, which works on the bell theory. Remember back in science class when you would turn a glass upside down in a bucket of water and no water would enter the glass? The submarine scooter is based on the same concept and as you descend, a seal is formed so you are dry inside the bubble. There is no diving or scuba experience necessary and it is safe for the whole family! Hawaii Now host Jobeth Devera went for a ride and got to experience Maunalua Bay like never before.

According to Island Watersports Hawaii, its underwater submarine scooters will allow you to view the marvels of the sea while effortlessly riding your very own self-propelled, eco-friendly electric scooter. There are no uncomfortable constraints of conventional dive equipment. This two-hour tour begins when you board a 50-foot power catamaran for a scenic cruise to your crystal-clear dive location. Upon arrival to the dive site, you will be briefed by staff and then begin your incredible underwater adventure. Your professional tour guide will lead you effortlessly through beautiful tropical reefs, so you can enjoy the colorful fish, corals and amazing green sea turtles of Hawaii. The tour also features snorkeling, swimming, shade areas and a spacious sun deck so you can relax and soak up the spectacular Hawaiian sun. Snacks and refreshments are also offered on the boat. Island Watersports Hawaii recommends you wear a swim suit/swim trunk and bring your own towel and sunscreen.
