Get your boba fix and some lunch!

Teapresso Bar has always offered its award-winning boba drinks, but at its Century Center location, you can now get lunch! HI Now host Kainoa Carlson went to check out the authentic Vietnamese-style appetizers and sandwiches on the menu.

“We wanted to be a one-stop-shop for customers who want to come in and grab a drink and grab a bite,” says president and owner Steve Nguyen. “We grew up eating this kind of food back in Vietnam. Hawaii has a pretty big Vietnamese community, and we wanted to add that flavor.”

All the ingredients that go into Teapresso Bar’s banh mi sandwiches are made from scratch. Nguyen says that he would eat these every other day while growing up.

“It’s something that’s fast, easy, and convenient,” he adds.

In addition to banh mi sandwiches, Teapresso Bar is also offering its signature summer roll with shrimp and char siu with peanut sauce.

“Vietnamese food has a little bit of influence on France,” Nguyen says. “We added a little bit of the Hawaiian into it with the same concept as Teapresso — is it has to be fresh!”

With a minimum order of $30, Teapresso will deliver food right to you! You can also order on Grubhub, Uber Eats, and BiteSquad.

Next time you’re at Teapresso, you can also try an exclusive HI Now drink at any of its locations! HI Now hosts Kanoe Gibson and Kainoa Carlson created their own specialty drinks, which include Kanoe’s “K-Presso,” and Kainoa’s “KC Cooler.”
